FAQs
What do I need for an online quote?
Please fill out the online form to get started with a quote. The more information you can provide, the better! We need lots of pictures - at least one from each corner of the room would be ideal, as well as any additional views that you think help provide more details about your request.
Why does remodeling cost so much?
There is more to remodeling than going down to the local home store and buying a new cabinet to hang! We will sit down with you to make sure that we are taking care of all your needs when we complete a job at Selby Construction. Planning, sourcing materials, demolition, and solving any unforeseen issues encountered along the way are all part of the package. We will work with your budget to fulfill your dreams of a beautiful home.
There are also a lot of “background” costs that go into running a construction company: taxes, paying a living wage, liability insurance, owning and maintaining work vehicles and tools, and maintaining our website are just a few examples of things that we pay for to keep our business running smoothly.
Why don’t do you do free onsite estimates?
We would LOVE to be able to visit every home to give a free estimate, but travel all around Seattle and surrounding cities takes a significant amount of time. We have found that we can efficiently estimate the cost of a remodel or other request based on a description with accompanying photos. The $125 fee for an onsite estimate covers our time and travel expenses to review your request. Remember, if you decide to move forward with Selby Construction, we will remove the onsite estimate fee from your final invoice.
How It Works
Request an online quote. If you have a larger job, or want to meet in person, we can come onsite for a fee of $125, which will be applied as a credit to your final invoice.
We review your request, and send a quote via email. Once you accept the quote, you pay a deposit, and we add you to the schedule.
We arrive onsite, confirm the work statement, and get to it!
You get to relax and get your home back, better than ever.
